From cnn: Judge John Roberts was today sworn in as 17th Chief Justice of the United States, hours after winning Senate approval with a 78-22 vote. Roberts watched the vote from the Roosevelt Room of the White House. Attention on Capitol Hill is already shifting to who will be nominated to replace retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
