Racial problems flourish/from crooks and liars

The International swimming Hall of
Fame (ISHOF) has a list of “85
significant events in swimming
history…” Number 3 on the list reads:
"An African slave, shipwrecked off
Martinique in 1679, swims in a storm
and finally reaches land after
swimming for sixty hours.”
