50% AMERICANS WANT BUSH IMPEACHED

Fifty percent of Americans would consider impeaching Bush if he lied about the war in Iraq according to a poll conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs which interviewed 1,001 U.S. adults on October 6-9. The poll was commissioned by AfterDowningStreet.org which describes itself as a “coalition of veterans' groups, peace groups, and political activist groups, which launched on May 26, 2005, a campaign to urge the U.S. Congress to begin a formal investigation into whether President Bush has committed impeachable offenses in connection with the Iraq war."

According to a report by David Swanson, apparently a force behind the poll, “by a margin of 50% to 44%, Americans want Congress to consider impeaching President Bush if he lied about the war in Iraq. In his own blog-diary, Swanson reports the following:
