Lawyer: Navy submariner to plead guilty in espionage case
NORFOLK, Va. --A submariner accused of stealing a Navy laptop and peddling its classified contents to an undisclosed foreign government plans to plead guilty next week to some of the six charges against him, his civilian lawyer said Tuesday.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Ariel J. Weinmann, 22, of Salem, Ore., is scheduled for court-martial Monday at Norfolk Naval Station, where he was being held in the brig. The fire control technician was stationed aboard the Connecticut-based submarine USS Albuquerque.

TERRORISM FROM POKER ROOMS DEALT A SERIOUS BLOW
Dallas Vice & SWAT Raid Illegal Poker Games
20 Arrests Made, 79 Citations Issued, $43,000 Seized
J.D. Miles
Reporting
(CBS 11 News) DALLAS Over the past weekend, Dallas Vice and SWAT officers were involved in one of the largest illegal gambling raids in North Texas. Three simultaneous raids are an indication of how popular illegal poker games are in Dallas, and how determined officers are to stop them.
Some see the games as "friendly," but police call it promotion of gambling, and conducted the weekend raids to flush out a growing underground industry.
Police had hidden camera video and floor plans for each location before the raids were executed.

El Salvador-style 'death squads' to be deployed by US against Iraq militants
THE Pentagon is considering forming hit squads of Kurdish and Shia fighters to target leaders of the Iraqi insurgency in a strategic shift borrowed from the American struggle against left-wing guerrillas in Central America 20 years ago.
Under the so-called “El Salvador option”, Iraqi and American forces would be sent to kill or kidnap insurgency leaders, even in Syria, where some are thought to shelter.
John Negroponte, the US Ambassador in Baghdad, had a front-row seat at the time as Ambassador to Honduras from 1981-85.
Death squads were a brutal feature of Latin American politics of the time. In Argentina in the 1970s and Guatemala in the 1980s, soldiers wore uniform by day but used unmarked cars by night to kidnap and kill those hostile to the regime or their suspected sympathisers.
sound familiar? you don't think the usans are creating this civil war themselves do you? holding on as long as they can to finish the ethnic cleansing that may be needed to keep a strangle hold on the oil fields?

16,000: Number of single mothers who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan,
Yearning to Be Whole Again
Sergeant Sees the Light After Year of Emotional, Family Turmoil
By Donna St. George
Washington Post Staff Writer

When they called her name, she could not move. Sgt. Leana Nishimura intended to walk up proudly, shake the dignitaries' hands and accept their honors for her service in Iraq-- a special coin, a lapel pin, a glass-encased U.S. flag.
But her son clung to her leg. He cried and held tight, she recalled. And so Nishimura stayed where she was, and the ceremony last summer went on without her. T.J. was 9, her oldest child, and although eight months had passed since she had returned from the war zone, he was still upset by anything that reminded him of her deployment.
He remembered the long separation. The faraway move to live with his grandmother. The months that went by without his mother's kisses or hugs, without her scrutiny of homework, her teasing humor, her familiar bedtime songs.
Nishimura was a single mother -- with no spouse to take over, to preserve her children's routines, to keep up the family apartment.

if you don't comment no angel will gets its wings... 0Mount Misery
“Frederick Douglass, the renowned abolitionist, began life as a slave on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. When his owner had trouble with the young, unruly slave, Douglass was sent to Edward Covey, a notorious “slave breaker.” Covey’s plantation, where physical and psychological torture were standard, was called Mount Misery. Douglass eventually fought back, escaped to the North and went on to change the world. Today Mount Misery is owned by Donald Rumsfeld, the outgoing secretary of defense.”

Afghanistan accounts for about 90 percent of world production of opium -- the raw material for heroin -- and its production has soared since a U.S.-led invasion ousted the government of the Islamist Taliban in 2001. NATO troops are currently battling a Taliban insurgency, which has been fuelled by the drugs trade.

To fool someone into sacrificing his life to battle a chimera is a hideous abuse of the public trust.
...Daily I read the casualty list from Iraq -- and I invent reasons to make the deaths less tragic. This is a hopeless, maybe tasteless, task, but it matters to me if someone is a career soldier who knew what he was getting into as opposed to some naive kid digitally juiced on a computerized version of war -- or, even sadder, some guardsman who enlisted for God, country or spare cash, but not by any means for Baghdad. He's a volunteer, all right, but not for a war that didn't exist when he raised his right hand and took the oath...

Be careful driving
This weekend is a holiday in the states, many zillion miles are driven on the roads.
I'm not sure if its actually more than during a workweek, I highly doubt it. I mean not everybody gets in a car to drive to grannies. There is a holiday message here during radio news casts from some 'spokesperson' from I think the DOT. The message this person relays is how DANGEROUS it is to drive during this weekend, it being the most dangerous driving holiday of the year. Fatalities soar. What I was struck by was this persons dire somber prediction, (I paraphrase now) "I'm afraid this year will even be more deadly" I should try and catch the broadcast again as I'm certain its replayed all day. You see this spokesperson was warning us that with perfect road conditions we won't have the visual cues as to the dangers of driving like a dusting of snow would. And finished with a somber dire prediction of mayhem and death far worse than ever before.
now I don't think it really could be part of a concerted effort to keep us ever vigilant of our impending deaths in firery crashes not on purpose it just couldn't be. But I hear far too much about the dangers of everyday life to think its an accident. I think we are being conditioned or planned on, being mentally destroyed, if not bodily but by something hideous somewhere somehow soon.

39 percent of the land held by Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank is privately owned by Palestinians.
Mr. Dror also said that sometimes Palestinians would sell land to Israelis but be unwilling to admit to the sale publicly because they feared retribution as collaborators.

By Patrick McGreevy, Times Staff Writer
Los Angeles Times
Under fire for a videotape showing an officer punching a suspect repeatedly in the face, Los Angeles Police Chief William J. Bratton said Friday that he is directing officers not to use the term "distraction strike" to describe when officers hit people to get them to submit to arrest.

HAHAHAHA THAT IS FUCKIN FUNNY INSANE. i'll look for the video in case you really need to see a cop "distracting" an aleged perp.

Today would have been Robert Kennedy's 81st birthday.
Did the CIA kill Bobby Kennedy?
In 1968, Robert Kennedy seemed likely to follow his brother, John, into the White House. Then, on June 6, he was assassinated - apparently by a lone gunman. But Shane O'Sullivan says he has evidence implicating three CIA agents in the murder

Why did the U.S.A send military detachments to Israel after the Israeli lost the war in the south of Lebanon?
The Israeli military radio, “Tsahal Radio” announced these news. They said that the American detachment of officers had arrived in Israel to take part in the “Autumn Clouds” operation in Gaza, that they helped the Israeli military to perform their “killing duties” without any loss. American officers were involved in the last Beit Hanoun massacre, in which in one incident 20 Palestinians were killed, at least 60 innocent children, old men and women were injured.

It's sort of silent terrorism that they have applied and kept up ever since.
One of these men was Henry Byroade. Henry Byroade made a talk in Philadelphia in April 1954. Before he made this talk he had two men work with him on it. One was Parker T. "Pete" Hart, who was the head of the NE, the Near Eastern Section, and the other was myself. We went over to his house and worked out his talk. In it he made this statement: "I have some advice for both Arabs and for Jews. Israel should think of itself as a state living in the Middle East and that it must live with its Arab neighbors. The Arabs must cease to think of themselves as wanting to destroy Israel and should come to terms with Israel itself." [Fred J. Khouri The Arab-Israeli Dilemma, Syracuse Press, 1968, p. 300 adds that even the Israeli Government protested this statement]
The next morning Henry Byroade got a call from Nathan Goldman, who was in California. [Nathan Goldman was president of the World Jewish Congress and many years president of the World Zionist Organization. He acted as though he were president of a World Jewish State and had a bitter fight with Ben Gurion after 1948.] He used his first name and said, "Hank, did you make that speech in Philadelphia that was reported in the papers today?"
Byroade said, "Yes, I made that speech."
He said, "We will see to it that you'll never hold another good position."
That was the control, from California, that Nathan Goldman held over the State Department. All they had to do was go to the President or to Congress, and the demand would come for this fellow to be sent off and put in some obscure area, where he no longer would influence the situation. This has been going on for 26 years in the Department of State as the result of Mr. Truman's first decision to purge Loy Henderson.
It destroyed the efficacy of the Department of State in that particular area. The Zionists consider that they have control of the Department of State, can dictate who is going to be in it and who is going to say what policy should be. It's sort of silent terrorism that they have applied and kept up ever since.

3. Characterize the charges as "rumors" or, better yet, "wild rumors." If, in spite of the news blackout, the public is still able to learn about the suspicious facts, it can only be through "rumors." (If they tend to believe the "rumors" it must be because they are simply "paranoid" or "hysterical.")
Who Killed James Forrestal?
Forrestal, Lovett added, “warned that unless the American support of the Zionist demands guaranteed the rights of the Palestinians would be justly upheld and the boundaries of the new state explicitly drawn, the United States would alienate not alone the Arabs and the Middle East, but of the whole Moslem world...and the eventual harvest would not be a peaceful homeland for a race exhausted by persecution and massacre, but a reaping of a whirlwind of hate for all of us.”

Impeachment 'Off the Table,' Conyers Says
"What the media is instructing (the Democrats) to do is be nice, play civil," he said. But in his view, an election in which not a single Democratic member of Congress was defeated is not a mandate for meekness.
they guy that some hoped was in a basement with a pile of subpoenas has claimed that impeachment is not healthy for this country. "so its off the table".
some figure the democrats are just getting "their ducks in a row" the investigations need to be conducted to see if someone, anyone could should or would be impeached. Has the president or his vice president committed any fucking crimes that they are aware of? Most likely not. If anything criminal has been done its been done with the proper insulation of a few layers of plausible denibilty and the constitution really hasn't been fucking shredded. Habeas corpus torture gate 911 stand down downing street memo energy meeting dividing up iraqistan prewar opium production and distribution.

For republic's sake, Pelosi must ponder impeachment
By John Nichols
exerpt:
It is impossible to support and defend the Constitution in this era of executive excess while taking impeachment off the table. As long as impeachment is wrongly portrayed as the political third rail by Pelosi, standards of accountability remain low, and prospects for fundamental improvement in the national condition are diminished.
The benefit of an impeachment fight to an opposition party comes not in the removal of an individual who happens to wear the label of another party. Rather, it comes in the elevation of the discourse to a higher ground where politicians and voters can ponder the deeper meaning of democracy.
When the whole of a political party finally concludes that it must take up the weighty responsibility of impeaching a president, as Democrats did in 1974 but Republicans never fully did in 1998, its language is clarified and transfigured. What Walt Whitman referred to as "long dumb voices" are suddenly transformed into clarion calls as a dialogue of governmental marginalia gives way to discussion of the intent of the founders, the duty of the people's representatives, and the renewal of the republic.
When a political party speaks well and wisely of impeachment, frustrated voters come to see it in a new way. It is no longer merely the tribune of its own ambition. It becomes a champion of the American experiment. To be sure, such a leap entails risk. But it is the risk-averse political party that is most likely to remain the permanent opposition.

For six years now, our investigations team, at first on assignment for BBC TV and the Guardian, has been digging into the nitty-gritty of the gaming of US elections. We've found that November 7, 2006 is a day that will live in infamy. Four and a half million votes have been shoplifted. Here's how they'll do it, in three easy steps:

Republicans prepare for the worst as disaster looms in midterm elections
No exit polls during the day, GOP surge, etc etc etc.
what would happen if the expected results are terribly off the mark tomorrow?
like the house and senate stay controlled buy the BFEE? And the democrat's 7000 lawyers don't show up anywhere to contest results?
or results can't be contested because there is only a fake ballot made up by faker voting software?
my guess is nuttin much, a few squawking liberals a few outraged talking heads and then nothing. Silence and onto the next rigged election and next round of "the terrorists win if you vote democrats" etc etc etc etc
Republicans prepare for the worst
After one of the hardest-fought election campaigns of recent years, America will vote in the midterms tomorrow, with the latest polls suggesting that Democrats will seize control of the House of Representatives and possibly take the Senate as well. Such a result would be devastating not just to the Republicans but also to President George Bush, whose widespread unpopularity over the war in Iraq has put his party on the defensive across the nation.
what would happen if the expected results are terribly off the mark tomorrow?

allows the President to declare a "public emergency" and station troops anywhere in America and take control...
Bush Moves Toward Martial Law

In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.
Public Law 109-364, or the "John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007" (H.R.5122) (2), which was signed by the commander in chief on October 17th, 2006, in a private Oval Office ceremony, allows the President to declare a "public emergency" and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to "suppress public disorder."
President Bush seized this unprecedented power on the very same day that he signed the equally odious Military Commissions Act of 2006. In a sense, the two laws complement one another. One allows for torture and detention abroad, while the other seeks to enforce acquiescence at home, preparing to order the military onto the streets of America. Remember, the term for putting an area under military law enforcement control is precise; the term is "martial law."really now
