"If the America people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currencies, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their prosperity until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was slipped through Congress during the Christmas recess, with many members of the Congress absent.

The war of 1812 left the country in economic chaos, seen by bankers as another opportunity for easy profits. They influenced Congress to charter the second central bank, the Second Bank of the United States (SBUS), in 1816.

The SBUS was more expansive than the BUS. The SBUS sold franchises and literally doubled the number of banks in a short period of time. The country began to boom and move westward, which required money. Using fractional lending at the 10:1 rate, the central bank and their franchisees created the debt/money for the expansion.

Things boomed for a while, then the banks decided to shut off the debt/money, citing the need to control inflation. This action on the part of the SBUS caused bankruptcies and foreclosures. The banks then took control of the assets that were used as security against the loans.

Closely examine how the SBUS engineered this cycle of prosperity and depression. The central bank caused inflation by creating debt/money for loans and credit and making these funds readily available. The economy boomed. Then they used the inflation which they created as an excuse to shut off the loans/credit/money.

The resulting shortage of cash caused the economy to falter or slow dramatically and large numbers of business and personal bankruptcies resulted. The central bank then seized the assets used as security for the loans. The wealth created by the borrowers during the boom was then transferred to the central bank during the bust. And you always wondered how the big guys ended up with all the marbles.

This was standard operating procedure

"The investigators would put a black hood over the accused's head and then punch him in the face with brass knuckles, kick him and beat him with rubber hoses ... All but two of the Germans, in the 139 cases we investigated, had been kicked in the testicles beyond repair. This was standard operating procedure with our American investigators."

The American Senator, Joseph McCarthy, in a statement given to the American Press on May 20, 1949,

In dealing with these cases, Senator McCarthy told the Press: "I have heard evidence and read documentary proofs to the effect that the accused persons were beaten up, maltreated and physically tortured by methods which could only be conceived in sick brains. They were subjected to mock trials and pretended executions, they were told their families would be deprived of their ration cards. All these things were carried out with the approval of the Public Prosecutor in order to secure the psychological atmosphere necessary for the extortion of the required confessions. If the United States lets such acts committed by a few people go unpunished, then the whole world can rightly criticise us severely and forever doubt the correctness of our motives and our moral integrity. Iraqi insurgent snipers gaining skill

By Will Weissert, Associated Press Writer | December 23, 2006

RAMADI, Iraq --Spc. Brent Everson was just a few steps from safety.

The 22-year-old from Florence, Mont., was climbing out of a tank, near the entrance to a U.S. outpost called Sword when a sniper's 7.62-millimeter bullet hit him just above his Kevlar vest, tearing into his shoulder and through his back. He fell back into the tank — wounded but alive.

we've never had such peace, such prosperity as when the American government was on vacation.

gore vidal

GV: Our first deliberate imperial president, (Jefferson was a reluctant imperialist), was Theodore Roosevelt, and he was looking around for more property to add to the US, which is where Cuba comes in. Theodore Roosevelt was ambitious and very imperial. In the summer recess of those golden days (I was brought up in Washington DC) the heat was so great that the entire government left town, we've never had such peace, such prosperity as when the American government was on vacation. During that time however, something happened on this island when a certain battle ship of the US was sunk and the yellow press of William Randolph Hearst blamed it on the Cubans, because in back of the Cubans was the Spanish Empire which was our real target. Cuba was used to inspire an anti-Spain sentiment that would justify the involvement of the US in the war. Hearst claimed that he had made it up, but it was actually Teddy Roosevelt who pulled the strings of those events. First as William McKinley's vice president, and later, when he died, as president of the United States. So, Roosevelt and several friends, one of them Senator Henry Cabot Lodge, very powerful in the Senate; and another one, Henry Adams, our great philosopher of history, they decided that we really should expand. Adams said, "Whoever controls Shanxi province in China"-which is now Manchuria and parts of Korea-"controls the world," because it is the richest section in minerals, in mining, in energy and the Chinese empire was crashing. All of Europe was trying to get a piece of China and we decided we'd get our piece.

Of course, Israel won't believe that because Israel managed to conceal a weapons plant underneath their reactor at Dimona, and Israel will never admit that other nations do not behave the way Israel does. Hence, if Israel does it, Iran must be assumed to be doing the same.
The IAEA which has full access to Iran's nuclear facilities confirms the work is about building a power station and no indications of a weapons program anywhere to be found.

Air Force looks to outsource casket duty

By Bruce Rolfsen
Staff writer/Air Force Times

The Air Force is looking for a private contractor to fly caskets out of Dover Air Force Base, Del.

Dover is the air hub where most troops who die overseas are brought before being returned to their families ... According to the request issued in late November, Air Mobility Command is looking for a firm that can provide crews and four aircraft able to carry two caskets each and their military escorts. The planes could make up to 110 flights a month...The initial contract would last until the end of January; however, it could be extended for up to six months. (Full Story)

Marijuana top US cash crop

By David Alexander
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. growers produce nearly $35 billion worth of marijuana annually, making the illegal drug the country's largest cash crop, bigger than corn and wheat combined, an advocate of medical marijuana use said in a study released on Monday.
The report, conducted by Jon Gettman, a public policy analyst and former head of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, also concluded that five U.S. states produce more than $1 billion worth of marijuana apiece: California, Tennessee, Kentucky, Hawaii and Washington.

In addition, the US will allow Israel to use the remainder of the US's monetary guarantees given to them that have not been used yet, and add up to USD 4.5 billion, by 2011.

“Enforcing marijuana prohibition costs taxpayers between $10 billion and $12 billion annually and has led to the arrest of nearly 18 million

Americans. Nevertheless, some 94 million Americans acknowledge having used marijuana during their lives. It makes no sense to continue to treat nearly half of all Americans as criminals for their use of a substance that poses no greater - and arguably far fewer - health risks than alcohol or tobacco. A better and more sensible solution would be to tax and regulate cannabis in a manner similar to alcohol and tobacco.”

A senior Earth scientist divulges some little known discoveries, and how they may affect Earth's climate.

Stacey pointed out to us that a planet revolving about the Sun in its “Keplerian” elliptical orbit delivered no energetic jolt to the Sun's photosphere, such as might explain the episodic growth of sunspots. But when two planets are involved, as the faster one passes the slower one, there is briefly a combined gravitational effect that is felt by each of the planets, and more importantly, by the Sun itself. This is not a tide (which is minuscule), but a torque. The outer, gaseous layers of that star have a low viscosity that is susceptible to any change in the angular momentum, just like the Earth atmosphere (in contrast to its hydrosphere and lithosphere).

Powerful Magnetic Storm Approaches the Earth

The largest electromagnetic energy emission in the last 30 years has been recorded on the Sun, the Shernberg State Astronomy Institute said on Thursday. This energy outburst may damage equipment of space satellites, the scientists say. Doctors warn that the emission is dangerous for those afflicted with cardiovascular illnesses as well as for healthy people.
The Sun’s electromagnetic anomaly has not reached the Earth yet. However,

He ceases to be the most popular leader in the democratic world, and instead morphs into "a grotesque dictator", "like Hitler, Stalin or Mao".

In his presidency, the proportion of Venezuela's GDP in the private sector has actually increased
Published: 11 December 2006
After the landslide victory comes the landslide of lies. Last week, Hugo Chavez was re-elected as President of Venezuela with 63 per cent of the vote - in an election declared "totally free and fair" by the international legal monitors, in a country where almost all of the media militantly opposes him.

I know the reason why. Her name is Maria Gonzalez. She is a lined, stooped 60 year-old grandmother I stumbled across last year in Barrio Neuva Tacagua, a fetid slum made of tin and mud in the high hills around Caracas. Maria grew up in a Venezuela that was dripping in oil wealth - but she never went to school and she never saw a doctor, because the country's petro-profits surged only into the bank accounts of the country's 25 richest families. Like the vast majority of Venezuelans, she was left to live and die in makeshift rust-and-cardboard shacks.

The day I met her, Maria wrote her name - in shaky handwriting, on a blackboard - for the first time in her life. Since Hugo Chavez was first elected, in another free and open election in 1998, Maria's world has begun to change. The new President began to use the country's oil wealth to build clinics where Maria could be treated free of charge, to subsidise food prices for the 70 per cent of Venezuelans who, like her, live in grinding, binding poverty, and to establish mass literacy programmes to teach his country - and a million Marias - how to read.

Chavez is using his petro-dollars to carry out the will of the people - to lift them out of their slums

Forcing destiny

The other day maybe Tuesday I get a new guy to help finish the strip mall project.
the guy is maybe 50's. Old guy I wasn't expecting. sorta heavy set, though I prolly out weigh him by 20. I told him to do a certain task, asked if he thought he could do it and he said yes. Ok
he needs tools a gave him my cordless sawzall because I was short on cords and I didn't want him spending the rest of my life string cords out being a new guy and all. As I handed it to him I told him its my tool do not drop it it cost me 600.00. then he needs a screw gun. He has none of his own I gave him my cordless screw gun and told him again not to drop it and break the damn thing.
well I'm sure you know what happened, he comes back 30 minutes later a pile of battery in one hand a cash in the other.
this is the part where my head would tend to explode. I didn't have time for a full on rant at him. I think I just yelled damnit dood I said don't drop it. He apologized offered me 60.00 and said he'd understand if I didn't want him there anymore. I replied to him in my friendly rosco voice "I don't want your fucking money I want those lights framed in" now go do it and don't drop my fucking saw or that will end your day here.

next item same day just a little later. I have another guy not entirely new but he is a lather not a regular carpenter. I need some parts cut with a chop saw (abrasive wheel) I need the ears cut off only and you need to manipulate the part a certain way or you risk fucking up the blade, or cutting yourself. So the guy is going to cut it the wrong way and I step up to try and direct him to do the cut the easiest fastest safest way I've found in my many years of cutting stuff with these saws. Of course this youngster sort of pushes me aside and says I can do it like a George bush wanna be. I back off raise up my hands and say " well don't fuckin cut your fingers off" he rolls his eyes and I walk away.
I'm sure you know what happened here. No he didn't cut any off but he did get cut.
it wasn't 5 minutes goes by and he's bleeding I walked by and told him to suck it up don't be a baby get back to work.
5 more minutes goes by and he's asking for bandaids cause its leaking all over the parts. Moral of this story for me was quit warning people of the hidden dangers in their lives and just let them crash and burn alone without warning. I mean I am so certain both them fuckers mumbled to themselves that it never woulda happened if I hadn't said anything and cursed the hex I had put on them. Don't ya think?

Filibuster Al Qaeda
Founder Robert Gates
By Webster Griffin Tarpley
12-6-6

The nomination of Robert Gates to be Secretary of Defense must be rejected. Gates is deeply implicated in three decades of crimes by the intelligence community. There is no reason to think he intends to begin the necessary rapid departure of US forces from Iraq. His nomination by Bush can only be read as a deliberate provocation directed against the new Democratic Congress. Will the Democrats fight back, or will they capitulate? The American people are watching the Democratic Senators carefully, and they are appalled by the self-congratulatory and clubby narcissism of the Senate at a time when US forces are facing encirclement and decimation in Iraq and Afghanistan. . Senators must not only vote against Gates; they must stop the confirmation process with a filibuster. A look at Gates' sordid record shows why.

Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt., warned that the measure virtually invites the White House to declare federal martial law.

It’s amazing what you can find if you turn over a few rocks in the anti-terrorism legislation Congress approved during the election season.
Take, for example, the John W. Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2006, named for the longtime Armed Services Committee chairman from Virginia.
Signed by President Bush on Oct. 17, the law (PL 109-364) has a provocative provision called “Use of the Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies.”
The thrust of it seems to be about giving the federal government a far stronger hand in coordinating responses to Katrina-like disasters.
But on closer inspection, its language also alters the two-centuries-old Insurrection Act, which Congress passed in 1807 to limit the president’s power to deploy troops within the United States.

“Using the military for law enforcement goes against one of the founding tenets of our democracy.”

To cover the loss of manufacturing jobs, our government has invented the catch phrase "service economy".

To cover the loss of manufacturing jobs, our government has invented the catch phrase "service economy". This is the idiotic notion that we don't need to actually sell manufactured products; that we can grow and prosper our nation by doing each other's laundry for a fee. To conceal the loss of manufacturing jobs, the government has legislated into existence thousands upon thousands of useless paper-shuffling jobs, and declared their necessity by fiat. The most obvious is the income tax which has been so obfuscated by the government that half of you had to rely on an outside expert to figure out just what all those incomprehensible words really meant. By this device, the government has replaced those jobs that made products to sell with an equal number of jobs that produce nothing whatsoever of any worth, except to keep the unemployment figures down. This over-burdening of the American people with gratuitous regulations and paperwork has accomplished nothing except to obfuscate the loss of manufacturing jobs, and to transform the American character from innovators and inventors creating new products to that of minor clerks, peeking under each other's seat cushions for lost change.

Lokeren could have scored during the second half if the visitors had had more luck on their side,

Genk increase lead
Sun 3/12/06 - Racing Genk pocketed three points from their win against Lokeren on Saturday night allowing the Limburgers to increase their lead over Anderlecht at the top of the Belgian First Division this Sunday morning. Genk now have a six points lead over Anderlecht that is second.

This was no easy win for Genk against Lokeren. Tom Soetaers (photo) was man of the match scoring the only goal of this home fixture.

Genk got off to an excellent start putting all their energy into the game, but this did not put any goals on the scoreboard.

As the match progressed Genk calmed down, but returned to the offensive again in the second half.

Tom Soetaers took the home team into the lead in the 47th minute and this was the only goal the crowd was going to see.

Genk did allow Lokeren to come back into the match, but the East Flemings failed to equalise.

Scorer Tom Soetaers conceded that this was no easy victory, but added it was normal the team couldn't play top class soccer all the time.

After the match Genk coach Hugo Broos told reporters that Lokeren could have scored during the second half if the visitors had had more luck on their side, but the coach remained ecstatic: "This is fantastic. We've won for the eleventh time. We've got the best attack and the best defence".

The Emerging Russian Giant

Plays its Cards Strategically

By F William Engdahl, October 20, 2006

On October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to the German city of Dresden for a summit on energy issues with Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel. On the agenda were proposed plans to more than double German import of Russian natural gas. Putin told the German Chancellor that Russia would ‘possibly’ redirect some of the future natural gas from its giant Shtokman field in the Barents Sea. The $20 billion project is due to come online 2010. Putin’s Dresden talks followed an earlier summit in Paris in late September with Putin and French President Chirac and Merkel.
